David J. Koehn is the President and Owner of Boston PT & Wellness, bringing more than 20 years of experience in physical therapy, sports medicine, orthopedics, and rehabilitation to the organization.
David earned his Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University and is a board-certified Athletic Trainer. His professional training also includes certification as a Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and recognition by the Titleist Performance Institute as a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor and Level 3 Medical Professional.
Throughout his career, David has focused on sports medicine, orthopedic rehabilitation, return-to-sport rehabilitation, and performance enhancement. His clinical background continues to influence the philosophy and standards of care at Boston PT & Wellness, with an emphasis on individualized treatment, movement, performance, and patient empowerment.
David believes healthcare should focus on listening to patients, promoting movement, and empowering individuals to take an active role in their recovery rather than creating unnecessary dependence on medication or unnecessary diagnostic testing.
Outside of BPTW, David is a proud husband and father of three children, Bayley, Kaliway, and Kody.
